Terms of sale and legal information
1. Scope and acceptance
These terms govern distance sales of goods between MAISON HALLEUX SRL, operator of Look Hippie Chic, and consumers purchasing for private use. Business purchases do not fall within provisions reserved for consumers.
Before ordering, you can read, save and print these terms. Confirming an order with an obligation to pay constitutes acceptance of the version provided for that purchase. No provision limits your mandatory statutory rights. Subsequent changes do not apply retrospectively to orders already concluded.
2. Products
Essential characteristics, dimensions, sizes, materials and any precautions are stated in the product descriptions. Photographs and descriptions present the goods offered. Colour rendering may vary between screens, but this does not exclude our obligation to supply a product conforming to the description and agreed characteristics.
Items are offered subject to availability. If an item becomes unavailable after ordering, we inform you promptly and refund the amounts paid for goods we cannot deliver. No substitute is imposed without your agreement.
3. Orders
Before confirming, check the items, quantities, contact details, delivery address, shipping method and total amount. You must be able to correct errors before confirming your order.
The order creates an obligation to pay. An email confirmation containing the order details and applicable terms is sent to you on a durable medium. Preparation begins after payment is received.
Please provide accurate information and inform us promptly of any error. Any consequences of an incorrect address are assessed according to the circumstances and applicable legal rules; they do not result in a general exclusion of our liability.
An order may be refused for an objective and legitimate reason, including established fraud or an unresolved payment incident, while respecting your rights. Amounts already collected for an unfulfilled order are refunded.
4. Delivery and transfer of risk
Delivery is made to the address provided, using the methods and destinations offered when ordering. The agreed delivery period is communicated before purchase. If no period is agreed, delivery takes place no later than 30 days after the contract is concluded.
If delivery is late, you may ask us to deliver within an appropriate additional period. If that period is not met, you may terminate the contract and obtain a refund. Immediate termination is possible in the cases provided by law, including a refusal to deliver or failure to meet an agreed essential delivery date.
We bear the risk of loss or damage until you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, take physical possession of the goods. If you independently choose a carrier we have not offered, risk transfers when the goods are handed to that carrier, without prejudice to your rights against it.
If the parcel or an item is damaged, contact us promptly. Photographs and reservations made to the carrier may help us process the matter. Their absence, or exceeding a carrier’s complaint deadline, does not remove your statutory rights against the seller.
5. Shipping costs and arrangements
Delivery costs depend, in particular, on the destination, shipping method and characteristics of the order. Costs and any free-delivery conditions are stated before confirmation of an order with an obligation to pay. No unaccepted additional charge may be added after ordering.
The stated periods distinguish preparation and transit where applicable. Working days, weekends and public holidays are taken into account according to the information provided at purchase. A tracking number is sent when available.
Check your address and track your shipment, particularly when collecting a parcel from a collection point. If a parcel is returned because it was not collected or the address was incorrect, we contact you to agree on the next steps. No automatic preparation fee is deducted. Any costs may only be requested where they are legally due, justified and clearly communicated, without restricting your right of withdrawal.
6. Product conformity and statutory guarantee
For new goods purchased by consumers, you benefit from a two-year statutory conformity guarantee from delivery. A defect appearing during this period is presumed to have existed at delivery, unless the contrary is proved under the statutory conditions.
Inform us of a defect as soon as possible and, in any event, within two months of discovering it, at contact@lookhippiechic.com. Include your order reference and describe the problem. Photographs may assist the assessment.
You may request a free repair or replacement, according to your choice and subject to the statutory criteria of possibility and proportionality. A price reduction or termination of the contract is available where the statutory conditions are met. A minor defect does not entitle you to terminate the contract.
The goods are brought into conformity within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. We bear the necessary costs, including transport. Contact us before dispatch to arrange how the matter will be handled.
This guarantee is not limited to the withdrawal period or to fifteen days after delivery. It also covers sale and promotional items. Normal wear and damage caused by misuse do not, by themselves, constitute a lack of conformity.
7. Right of withdrawal — returns and refunds
7.1. Time limit
You have 14 calendar days to inform us of your decision to withdraw, without giving a reason. The period starts on the day after receipt by you or a designated third party other than the carrier. If several goods from one order are delivered separately, it starts on the day after receipt of the last item.
7.2. Notification
Send a clear statement to contact@lookhippiechic.com or by post to Maison Halleux SRL, 45, rue de l’Esplanade, 4141 Louveigné, Belgium. The form below is optional. No reason or prior approval is required. It is sufficient to send the statement before the period expires. Your name, order reference and list of items help us process the request.
7.3. Return and costs
You then have 14 days to send the items to: Look Hippie Chic — Maison Halleux SRL, 45, rue de l’Esplanade, 4141 Louveigné, Belgium. Pack them carefully and keep proof of postage.
You bear the direct return costs if you were informed of this before purchase, unless we agree to cover them. A return for lack of conformity is governed by Article 6.
7.4. Condition of the goods
You may inspect and try on the items as you would in a shop. You are only liable for a reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Where possible, keep labels, accessories and packaging. The absence of the original packaging alone does not remove the right of withdrawal.
7.5. Refunds
We refund the price actually paid for the goods concerned. If you withdraw from the entire order, the original delivery costs are also refunded, up to the cost of the least expensive standard delivery offered. The extra cost of a more expensive delivery method chosen by you is not refunded.
The refund is made no later than 14 days after notification of withdrawal. Unless we offer to collect the goods ourselves, we may withhold it until we receive the goods or evidence of dispatch, whichever happens first.
The same payment method is used unless you expressly agree to another method without additional charges. Store credit or a shopping voucher is not imposed.
7.6. Sale items and exceptions
Sale and promotional items have the same right of withdrawal. Only statutory exceptions apply, including clearly personalised goods or goods made to your specifications, perishable goods, sealed goods unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons that have been unsealed after delivery, and sealed audio or video recordings and software that have been unsealed after delivery. An exception applies only if all its statutory conditions are met and does not remove the conformity guarantee.

8. Prices
Consumer prices are expressed in euros and include taxes according to the applicable rules. Any delivery costs are stated separately before confirmation. The total payable, including all mandatory charges, is communicated before the order with an obligation to pay.
The price accepted when ordering applies. Subsequent price changes do not change orders already concluded. Promotional conditions are specified in the relevant offer.
9. Payment
The payment methods actually available are displayed when ordering. For a bank transfer, use the bank details provided in the confirmation and include your order reference. Processing begins after payment is received.
No surcharge is charged for choosing an electronic payment. Online payments are handled through the payment providers offered at purchase. Never send your complete card details or security code by email.
Any applicable payment deadline is communicated before purchase. If payment is not received within that period, cancellation may take place after the customer is informed, without prejudice to applicable statutory rights.
10. Personal data
MAISON HALLEUX SRL is responsible for processing associated with managing the shop. Data are processed in accordance with the GDPR and applicable Belgian rules, including for orders, payments, deliveries, invoices, customer enquiries and legal obligations. Processing relies on the applicable legal basis: contract, legal obligation, legitimate interest or consent, as appropriate.
Necessary data may be shared with service providers involved in these operations, including carriers and payment providers, in compliance with data protection rules. The privacy policy specifies recipients, retention periods and any transfers.
Under the conditions of the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. To exercise your rights: contact@lookhippiechic.com. You may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority: www.autoriteprotectiondonnees.be.
11. Complaints, applicable law and disputes
Send complaints to contact@lookhippiechic.com with your order reference and a description of the problem. We seek an amicable solution.
If no solution is found after contacting us, you may contact the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service: mediationconsommateur.be. For a cross-border dispute, the European Consumer Centre in your country may also provide guidance. These steps do not prevent you from taking legal action.
Belgian law governs the contract, without depriving you of mandatory protections applicable in your country of habitual residence where the law so provides. Court jurisdiction is determined by the applicable legal rules. No exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Liège is imposed on consumers.
12. Guarantees and liability
The statutory conformity guarantee described in Article 6 and, where applicable, the guarantee against hidden defects remain available. Any commercial guarantee is additional and does not replace them.
Our liability is assessed according to the applicable rules. No clause generally excludes our liability, automatically caps it at the order amount or removes your statutory rights, including in the event of personal injury, intentional misconduct or lack of conformity.
You must follow the products’ instructions for use and safety. Inappropriate use may be taken into account according to the circumstances, without automatically excluding every guarantee.
13. Intellectual property
Website content, including texts, photographs, illustrations, logos and graphic elements, is protected where the legal conditions are met. Rights belong to MAISON HALLEUX SRL or the respective rights holders. Any use requiring authorisation must be authorised beforehand, subject to statutory exceptions. This does not prevent you from keeping the information and terms relating to your order.
14. Cookies and marketing communications
Cookies strictly necessary for the functionality requested may be used without consent. Non-essential cookies, including advertising or audience-measurement cookies where consent is required, require your prior agreement. Through the website’s preference management, you must be able to refuse or withdraw that agreement as easily as you give it.
Marketing communications comply with the applicable rules. Each marketing email includes a simple unsubscribe option. Withdrawing consent or unsubscribing does not affect messages necessary for processing an order. Consult the privacy and cookie policies for detailed information.
